This set works on batteries only. This way you don't have to worry about wiring, which makes it very easy to install. The 85 dB volume can be adjusted to 4 sound levels, 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% as desired. When you have small children, this doorbell is also ideal. The doorbell has a mute function. For example, the bell will not sound when someone rings the bell, but the flashing Multi-LED indicator will go off. The doorbell does not wake anyone up, but you still know that someone is at the door.
